CCNA
The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is an entry-level certification for IT professionals, awarded by Cisco Systems, Inc., one of the world’s leading companies in computer networking. Cisco designs, manufactures, and markets a wide range of devices and technologies for enterprises and telecommunications providers. The company’s name itself is derived from San FranCISCO.
CCNA is part of Cisco’s multi-tier certification program, which includes three levels: Associate, Professional, and Expert. At the Associate level, CCNA (along with CCDA – Cisco Certified Design Associate) provides foundational knowledge. CCNA-certified professionals are qualified to install, configure, and operate small networks with up to 100 nodes. This includes working with LAN, WAN, and dial access services while supporting various protocols such as IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, and Access Lists.
The certification remains valid for three years, after which recertification is required to maintain active status.
